Life with Full Attention, run by the MEBC in Southend
at Southend Royal Naval Association
This eight week course, running in Southend, is based on Maitreyabandhu’s book which you will be able to purchase at a reduced price from us.
Exploring the Potential of Infinite Consciousness Through Buddhism
Buddhism presents a vision of infinite consciousness, as embodied by the Buddha, which reflects our vast human potential. Much like an acorn unaware of its future as a mighty oak tree, we often find ourselves distracted by planning, worrying, and daydreaming.
Course Overview
In this eight-week course, you will be introduced to the distinctively Buddhist perspective of mindfulness (Satipatthana). This approach encompasses faith, inspiration, and community. Each week, you will focus on a specific aspect of mindfulness, practice it, and share your experiences and progress.
“There are hundreds of books on mindfulness, but for a practical guide I would turn first to Life with Full Attention by Maitreyabandhu...." Alice O'Keefe - The Guardian
Everyone is warmly welcome. no prior knowledge of either Buddhism or Meditation is required for this course. If you have done this course before, you are still very welcome to join us again.
